CADIOissue&opinion on Advertising 01
ISSUE:
ABS-CBN and GMA are the giants in the broadcast industy. Last year, there was an issue on ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Media Research. Broadcasting firm GMA Network Inc. on Thursday filed a P15-million civil action suit against rival network ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. over what GMA said were false and malicious allegations of ratings manipulation, radio dzBB reported."It's a civil action for the defamation done by ABS-CBN against GMA. There was series of on the air fabrication of statements imputing GMA 7 as behind the alleged rigging, manipulation of TV ratings in Bacolod City," GMA Network legal counsel Gener Asuncion said.
OPINION:
As the saying goes, half of the money spent on advertising is wasted; the trouble is, we don't know which half. With the high technology that AGB Neilsen is using (peoplemeter), I still can't get the idea of TV rating survey. Having a TV remote control gives us the idea to switch to another channel every time there's a commercial break. Why? People don't watch TV because of the commercials; they watch TV because of their favorite shows. Even you come up with the survey, and have a high rating; still, more than half of the money spent on advertising is wasted. I hope everything would be fine between the two giants.

CADIOfashion-Business Attire for Men 2008
Today, you need to keep your bold ties and wear the new ones. It's called the narrow ties. Loose long sleeves and straight cut pants, as what we call them is no longer in. For women, they call it skinny; for men, it's called slim fit. Spread collars are still fine. Flat toe shoes are now dead. Either a pointed or a semi pointed shoes would be ok.
If you don't practice wearing the standard attire, it will also show that you have a low business standard. Remember, first impression counts a lot.
